My Dr. prescribed this for chronic diarrhea. I've been on it for not less than 2 years . Some days it works but more often than not it doesn't. Several months before he supplemented Lonox in wants that it would help. It hasn't. Over the last couple of years some distinct medications have been endeavoured but not anything appears to help much. This has gotten gradually poorer since my gallbladder was taken in 1983. The last 3 years have been awful.

My Dr. prescribed this medication when I had taken checks for gall bladder trouble. The checks displayed no pebbles and no diesase. But there was allotments of bile in my stomach backing up. I had been ill at my stomach and throwing up on my awful days for ablout 2 months. I have only been on this for about a week now, 3 1GM per day. I furthermore am on agony medication for my back. So I have had critical constipation. I need to take a stool softened not less than every day. Sometime 2 when I get very awful as both have side effects of constipation. So I am discovering to drink abounding of water and fluids to help also. Plus he suggested me to take my normal medicines state at mid-afternoon. And get some time between them, the agony medications, and this pharmaceutical, colestipol. It is best not to consume or take any medications for not less than one hour after you take this. As it soaks up everything like a tacky sponge. I wish this will help somebody to realise why the constipation is so bad. I am endeavouring this for a month and glimpse if the stomach difficulties proceed away. And confidently I will not need to take 3 a day after that.

I had a large allowance of little intestine taken encompassing the valve between large & small. This lead to chronic diahrea and bile output had to be limited. I take 16 tabs a day (4 x 4). It works, but if I overlook doses or decline I pay the price!
