I went into anaphalaxis shock from taking this IV before surgery - expended 2 days in the hospital. I have not ever been alergic to any medications. This was on November 13 2007. I was notified by an allergy medical practitioner that Ancef is an old surgery of the 1950,s.

I was having shoulder surgery. It made me very talkative, sunburn like on face and barrel, pulse was racing. Nurse halted the iv and i went to sleep.
